FUNERAL HELD: Jeffrey Wayne Barrette

DATELINE: Swanton, Vermont

 

The Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday, November 17, 2015, at 11 a.m. from The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Father Luke P. Austin was the celebrant and homilist. John Ferland and Paul Laroche served as Ministers of the Altar. 

 

A guard of honor was formed by members of the American Legion, Green Mountain Post #1 of Saint Albans and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Charles DaPrato Post 778 of Swanton.

 

Music was provided by soloist and guitarist, Gail Perras.

 

Scripture readings from the Old and New Testament were proclaimed by Paul Laroche.

 

Among the delegations in attendance were representatives from Barrette Ford, Sales and Service, Mullen Nationwide Insurance and the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary-Saint Louis Parish Community.

 

The Rite of Committal and Interment followed at the Barrette family lot in Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery with Father Austin reading the committal prayers. The bearers were Jeffrey’s brothers, Raymond, Ronald and David Barrette and nephew, Corey Barrett.

 

Military Honors were accorded the deceased by members of the Vermont Army National Guard, Funeral Honors Team. The American Flag honoring the Viet Nam veteran was folded by, PV2 Kajah Langmaid and presented to Jeffrey’s brother Ronald by, Sgt Travis Rock. Tapas were sounded by Bugler, PV2 Kajah Langmaid.
