FUNERAL HELD: Andre Gilbert “Andy” Bertrand
DATELINE: Swanton, Vermont
The Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday, November 11, 2016, at 12 Noon from The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Father Luke P. Austin was the celebrant and homilist. Edward Daniel and Eugene LaBombard served and Ministers of the Altar.
Music was provided by soloist, Jeanne Begnoche accompanied by organist, Michael Olmstead.
The White Funeral Pall was draped over Andy’s casket by his daughter, Tammy Bertrand and her fiancée, Anthony Ottaviano. The Crucifix was also placed by daughter, Tammy. Special Words of Remembrance were shared by niece, Renee Begnoche. Scripture readings from The Old and New Testament were proclaimed by, Renee Begnoche and Damien Henry; The Offertory Gifts were presented by Erik Begnoche, Eric Begnoche and Jessica Sweet.
Among the delegations in attendance were representatives from, Swanton Rexall, McClure Miller VNA Respite House, Neil Speer Construction, M&T Sand and Gravel, Terricel Transit, Grand Avenue Enterprises and the parish community of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary-Saint Louis.
The Rite of Committal and Interment followed at the Bertrand family lot in Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery with Father Austin reading the committal prayers. The bearers were, Eric Begnoche Michael Truax, Raymond Bushey, Anthony Ottaviano, Damien Henry and Ellis “Red” Truax.
Following The Prayers of Committal a private reception was held for immediate family at the My-T-Fine Restaurant, hosted by Mrs. Nancy Paquette-Lussier and staff.
