FUNERAL HELD: Hortense E. Bluto
DATELINE: Saint Albans, Vermont
The Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday, November 23, 2015, at 11 a.m. from Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church. Father Maurice J. Roy was the celebrant and homilist. Assisting as Ministers of the Altar were, Lynn Marie Villareal, Paul Chabot and Donald Poirier.
Music was provided by soloist and pianist, Laura Kalagher. Special music was offered by granddaughter, Cara Andersen singing “Amazing Grace” during the Communion.
The White Funeral Pall was draped over Mrs. Bluto’s casket by grandsons; Richard Andersen, and Rich Austin. The Crucifix was then placed by Mrs. Bluto’s loyal friend and life partner, Alfred Fagon. Scripture readings were proclaimed by granddaughter Calli Andersen. Grandchildren, Cara Andersen, Jordan Bluto, Tyler Bluto and Corey Bluto presented The Offertory Gifts.
Following The Prayers of Final Commendation and Farewell Special Words of Remembrance were shared by granddaughter, Chari Andersen.
The Rite of Committal and Interment followed at the Courtois / Bluto family lot in Mount Calvary Cemetery with Father Roy reading the committal prayers. The bearers were all grandchildren, Arthur Beshaw, Richard Austin, Richard Courtois III, Cory Bluto, Ryan Bluto and Chad Bluto.
Following The Prayers of Committal a reception was held for family and friends at the Saint Albans Moose Lodge hosted by the members.
