FUNERAL HELD: Leo Francis Bonneville
DATELINE: Isle La Motte, Vermont
The Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday, November 8, 2016, at 11 a.m. from Saint Joseph’s Roman Catholic Mission. Father Marcel R. Rainville, SSE from The Office of Campus Ministry at Saint Michael’s College was the celebrant and homilist. Assisting as Deacon was The Reverend Mr. Duane Langlois. Amayah and Justin Sharp served as Ministers of the Altar. Scripture Readings from The Old and New Testament as well as the reading of The Most Holy Gospel were proclaimed by, Deacon Langlois. The Offertory Gifts were presented by Leo’s three sons, Jerry, Randy and Keith Bonneville.
Music was provided by soloist, Maurice Gauthier accompanied by organist, Carol Pellerin.
Among the delegations in attendance were representatives from the Alburgh and Isle La Motte Town Offices, Isle La Motte Volunteer Fire Department and First Response, Swanton Lumber, Isle La Motte School District, Isle La Motte General Store, Saint Anne’s Shrine, Green Mountain Diner, Ransom Bay Inn, Hero’s Welcome, Senesac Memorials and the Lake Champlain Islands Roman Catholic Parish Community.
The Rite of Committal and Interment followed at the Bonneville family lot in Saint Joseph’s Cemetery with Father Rainville assisted by Deacon Langlois reading the committal prayers. The bearers were, Richard Fleury, Raymond Fleury, Steve Clark, Scott Bonneville, Jeremy Langlois, Jason Langlois and Paul Langlois.
Monday afternoon, Father Thomas D, Nadeau, pastor of the Lake Champlain Islands Roman Catholic Parish, led a Vigil Service with Leo’s family in the funeral home.
