FUNERAL HELD:  Marie “Anna” Cota

 DATELINE: Swanton, Vermont

 

The Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at 11 a.m. from The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Father Luke P. Austin was the celebrant and homilist. Cleo Yandow served as Minister of the Altar.

 

 A large guard of honor was formed by members of the Nativity Ladies of Saint Anne.

 

 Music was provided by soloist, Jeanne Begnoche and accompanied by organist, Michael Olmstead.

 

The White Funeral Pall was draped over Anna’s casket by son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Bennye Cota. The Crucifix was then placed by son, Bernard Cota. Special Words of Remembrance were shared by daughter, Mary Rusnak. Scripture readings were proclaimed by granddaughters, Diane Ssubryck and Sara Dudley and The Offertory Gifts were presented by granddaughters, Heather Cota and Dawn Burke and great granddaughter, Amanda Burke. Following communion prayers for a deceased Lady of Saint Anne were offered by the Nativity Ladies of Saint Anne led by President Joyce Bombardier.

 

Among the delegations in attendance were representatives from, Cota’s Auto Parts and Service, Swanton Chamber of Commerce, Swanton Historical Society, Eaton’s Fine Jewelry, Giordano Manor, The Paquin Auto Group, Campbell Bay Campground, Grand Avenue Enterprises, M&T Sand and Gravel, Terricel Transit and the parish community of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary-Saint Louis.

 

The Rite of Committal and Interment will take place as soon as weather permits in Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery. The bearers all grandsons were, Michael Bishop, Mark Rusnak, Mike Cota, Chase Cota, Sean Burke and Leo Cota.

 

Following the liturgy a reception was held for family and friends at the Nativity Parish Center hosted by Mrs. Joyce Bombardier the Nativity Ladies of Saint Anne.
