FUNERAL HELD: Jeanne D’Arc Day
DATELINE: Swanton, Vermont
A Funeral Service was held Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at 2 p.m. from The Kidder Memorial Home. Father Luke P. Austin pastor of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary – Saint Louis Parish officiated.
Special Music was provided by grandson, Dylan Day and friend Tara who together sang the hymn, “Amazing Grace.” Special Words of Remembrance were shared by Jeanne D’Arc’s son David Day. Scripture readings were proclaimed by daughters-in-law, Kathy and Dianne Day.
Among the delegations in attendance were representatives from the Swanton Village and Town Offices, Sticks & Stuff, Missisquoi Valley Rescue, Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary post 758 Saint Albans, Northern Tier Center for Health, Swanton Village Green Apartments, Swanton Enhancement Committee, Swanton Chamber of Commerce, Bev’s Shear Expectations, Rene Fournier Farm Equipment, Real Deal Construction, United States Postal Service, North Country Bait and Tackle and the Parish Community of Nativity – Saint Louis.
The Rite of Committal and Interment followed at the Day family lot in Riverside Cemetery with Father Austin reading the committal prayers. The bearers were grandsons, Craig Day, Scott Day, and A.J. Conger and great granddaughter, Lexus Conger.
