FUNERAL HELD: Suzanne Ginette Deso
DATELINE: Swanton, Vermont
The Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday, June 11, 2016, at 2 p.m. from The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Father Luke P. Austin was the celebrant and homilist. John Ferland and Paul Laroche served as Ministers of the Altar.
Music was provided by organist and soloist, Claire Chevalier Hungerford.
The White Funeral Pall was draped over Suzanne’s casket by her daughters, Christina Boissoneault and Stephanie Deso. The Crucifix was then placed by her husband, Richard Deso. Special Words of Remembrance were shared by grandson, Brendan Deso and longtime close friend of Suzanne’s, Eva Quebec. Scripture readings from The Old and New Testament were proclaimed by niece, Melissa Bocash and brother, Joel Boucher. The Offertory Gifts were presented by sister and brother, Denise Bocash and Michael Boucher.
Among the many delegations in attendance were representatives from the, Vermont Senate and House of Representatives, Swanton Town and Village Offices, Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court St. Mary #468 of Saint Albans, Handy Toyota and Chevrolet, Peoples Trust Company, Office of Doctor Michael Corrigan, Vermont State Police, Office of Attorney George Spear, Cota’s Auto Parts and Service, Swanton Chamber of Commerce, Mary S. Babcock and Swanton Elementary schools, Saint Albans Town School, Enosburgh Falls School District, Laroche Repair, The Dairy Center, Salon Elizabeth and the parish community of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary-Saint Louis.
The Rite of Committal and Interment will take place later in Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery. The bearers were Suzanne’s son, Eric Deso; grandsons, Brendan Deso and Zachery Deso-Walker; son-in-law, Joshua Boissoneault; brother, Michael Boucher; nephews, Shayne Bocash and Steven Boucher and cousin, Claude Boucher.
A prayer service was held at the funeral home just prior to departing for the funeral Mass with Suzanne’s daughter, Christina Boissoneault sharing some very special words of remembrance.
Following the liturgy a reception was held for family and friends at the Nativity Parish Center hosted by, Mrs. Joyce Bombardier the Nativity Ladies of Saint Anne.
