FUNERAL HELD: Agnes Josephine Dupere
DATELINE: Isle La Motte / Alburgh, Vermont
The Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday, August 13, 2016, at 11 a.m. from the Chapel at Saint Anne’s Shrine. Father Marcel R. Rainville, SSE was the celebrant and homilist. Music was provided by pianist and soloist, Armand Messier.
The White Funeral Pall was draped over Agnes casket by her children, Marie Quain, Kenneth Dupere, Jeanie Pageau and Dennis Dupere. Daughter, Marie Quain then placed the Crucifix. Special Words of Remembrance were shared by granddaughter, Jennifer Bouzidane. Scripture reading from The Old and New Testament were proclaimed by granddaughters, Michelle Durocher and Jacqueline Gonyo. The Offertory Gifts were presented by granddaughters, Bridget Grgham and Megan Quain.
Among the delegations in attendance were representatives from the Alburgh Village and Town Offices, Alburgh Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue, Alburgh Public Library, Alburgh Historical Society and the Lake Champlain Islands Roman Catholic Parish.
The Rite of Committal and Interment followed at the Dupere family lot in Saint Amadeus Cemetery with Father Rainville reading the committal prayers. The bearers were grandsons, Lt. Col. James Gonyo, Jeffrey Gonyo, Christopher Dupere, Jason Dupere, Dennis Durocher and son-in-law, John Quain.
Following The Prayers of Committal a reception was held for family and friends at the Saint Amadeus Parish Center hosted by Maurice Gauthier and the Council of Catholic Women.
