FUNERAL HELD: William Earl Fournier
DATELINE: Swanton, Vermont
The Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday, February 19, 2016, at 1 p.m. from The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The pastor, Father Luke P. Austin was the principle celebrant and homilist. Concelebrating was, Father Brian J. Cummings, SSE, Director of Campus Ministry at Saint Michael’s College and Spiritual Director of Saint Anne’s Shrine. Eugene LaBombard and Cleo Yandow served as Ministers of the Altar. Music was provided by soloist and guitarist, Gail Perras with special music by, Molly Rhening.
The White Funeral Pall was draped over William’s casket by his father, Earl Fournier and brother-in-law, Jason Calhoun. The Crucifix was then placed by his mother, Susan Fournier and brother, David Fournier. Special Words of Remembrance were shared by William’s professor at the Vermont Technical College, Doctor Christopher Dalton. Scripture readings from The Old and New Testament were proclaimed by Emily Fournier, Anatashia Nichols and Molly Rhening. The Offertory Gifts were presented by, Little Ray and Eli Calhoun.

Babcock and Swanton Central Schools, Missisquoi Valley Union High School, Franklin Northwest Supervisory Union School Board Administration and Staff, Early Childhood Programs, Dupuis & Son, Kilbury Construction, Champlain Valley Equipment, E.J. Interment followed at the Fournier family lot in the West Swanton Cemetery with Father Austin reading the committal prayers. The bearers were, Ben Fournier, Peter Flanagan, Caleb Letourneau, Charlie Grennon, Andre Stefaniak and Joseph Fournier.
Following the liturgy a reception was held for family and friends at the Nativity Parish Center hosted by, Mrs. Theresa Begnoche and the Nativity Ladies of Saint Anne.
