FUNERAL HELD: Gilles Louis Laroche

DATELINE: Swanton / Highgate Center, Vermont

A Funeral Service was held Sunday, April 22, 2012, at 3 p.m. from The Kidder Memorial Home. The Reverend Lyle Willey, pastor of the Richford Baptist Church officiated. Also in attendance was Gilles Uncle, Father Leonidas B. Laroche, pastor of Saint Patrick's Roman Catholic Parish in Fairfield Center and Father Daniel Lokanga, parochial vicar of Holy Angels Roman Catholic Parish, Saint Albans. Music was provided by soloist, Pauline Laroche Corwell, with special music offered by Gilles daughters, Lisa Cruz and Lori Starr and granddaughter, Kaylee. Special Words of Remembrance were shared by a large number of Gilles family and friends.

Among the delegations in attendance were representatives from the Highgate and Swanton Town and Village Offices, Lapan Auto Repair, Chevalier Drilling, Mylan Technologies, Franklin County Home Health Agency, Claire's Country Garden, Swanton Village Green Apartments, Ed White Auto Sales and Service and the parish communities of Nativity / Saint Louis, Saint Patrick's and Holy Angels.

Interment followed in Saint Louis Cemetery, Highgate Center with The Reverend Mr. Willey reading the committal prayers. The bearers were, Sergio Cruz, David Wilson, Matthew Juaire, Michael Juaire, Seth Artz, Joseph Breault and Christian St. Pierre.

Following The Prayers of Committal a reception was held for family and friends at the Nativity Parish Center in Swanton hosted by, Mrs. Joyce Bombardier and the Ladies of Saint Anne.
