FUNERAL HELD: Leo Alexander Rheaume
DATELINE: Swanton, Vermont
A Funeral Service was held Tuesday afternoon, May 17, 2016, at 2:30 p.m. from The Kidder Memorial Home. Father Luke P. Austin, pastor of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary – Saint Louis Parish officiated.
Special Words of Remembrance were shared by Leo’s son, Bruce Rheaume.
The Old Testament Reading was proclaimed by son-in-law, Brian Marcotte, The Responsorial Psalm by son, Bryan Rheaume and The New Testament Reading by son-in-law, Steven Marshall.
A private Rite of Committal and Interment followed on Friday, May 20, 2016, at 12:30 p.m. from the Rheaume family lot in Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery with Father Austin reading the committal prayers.
Military Honors were accorded the deceased by members of the Vermont Army National Guard, Funeral Honors Team. The American Flag which honored the Korean Veteran was folded by, SPC Taylor Holms-Voss and presented to Leo’s daughter, Lori Marcotte by, SPC Braeden Longmaid. Taps were sounded by, SPC Holmes-Voss.
Following The Prayers of Committal a reception was held for family and friends at the Gilman Road residence of son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Tammy Rheaume in Sheldon.
