FUNERAL HELD: Edward Kenneth “Eddy” St. Lawrence

A Funeral Service was held Friday, June 25, 2010, at 11 a.m. from The Kidder Memorial Home. Father Thomas D. Nadeau, pastor of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary / Saint Louis Parish officiated. Special Words of Remembrance were shared by Eddy’s cousin, Margaret Theoret. Music was provided by longtime friends and neighbors, Barbara and Claude Chevalier. Among the delegations in attendance were representatives from the, Highgate School District, Energizer, Highgate Historical Society, Highgate Volunteer Fire Department, Missisquoi Valley Rescue, Northwestern Medical Center, Vermont Department of Corrections, Vermont Army National Guard, Church of the Rock, Saint Albans Health and Rehabilitation Center, Ace Hardware, Cota’s Auto Parts and Service and Nativity / Saint Louis Parish. The Rite of Committal and Interment followed at the St. Lawrence Family lot in Saint Louis Roman Catholic Cemetery with Father Nadeau reading the committal prayers. The Honorary Bearers were brothers-in-law, Larry, Robert and Stephen Demar and family friend, Myron “Moose” Craig. The Active Bearers were, brothers-in-law, Gary Chadwick and David Demar; Godson and nephew, Steven Adams; nephews, Jamie and Ernest Adams and family friends, Walter Medor, Galen Hanna and Kevin Gagne. Full Military Honors were accorded the deceased by members of the Vermont Army National Guard, Funeral Honors Team. The American Flag which draped the Vermont National Guardsman’s casket was folded by, SPC Darrell McClay and SPC Jack Curtis and presented to Mrs. Karen St. Lawrence by, SPC Angelo Pasquale. Taps were sounded by SPC Danielle Quenneville. Following The Prayers of Committal and Military Services a reception was held at the St. Lawrence Lamkin Street home hosted by family and friends.
