FUNERAL HELD: Arlene June Trahan
DATELINE: Highgate Center, Vermont
The Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday, November 4, 2016, at 11 a.m. from Saint Louis Roman Catholic Church. Father Luke P. Austin was the celebrant and homilist. John Ferland and Paul Laroche served as Ministers of the Altar.
Music was provided by organist and soloist, Mary Jo Gillian. Hymns selected were, On Eagles Wings, Amazing Grace, Psalm Twenty-Three, Shubert’s’ Ave Maria, Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus, Go In Peace, Just A Closer Walk With Thee, Song of Farewell and Here Am I Lord.
The White Funeral Pall was draped over Arlene’s casket by her sons, Jeff and Todd Trahan. The Crucifix was then placed by Arlene’s husband, Bernard Trahan. Scripture readings from The Old and New Testament were proclaimed by, Dolores Trahan and Nancy Dermody. The Offertory Gifts were presented by, Solange Feldman and Renee Cears.
Among the delegations in attendance were representatives from the Highgate and Swanton Town Offices Highgate School District, Swanton Chamber of Commerce, Heald Funeral Home, Spear’s Funeral Home, Brady & Levesque Funeral Home, Desorcie’s Store, The Paquin Group, Warren Fournier Home Improvement Center, M&T Sand and Gravel, Terricel Transit, Grand Avenue Enterprises and the parish community of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary-Saint Louis.
The Rite of Committal and Interment followed at the Trahan family lot in Saint Louis Cemetery with Father Austin reading the committal prayers. The bearers were, Stanley Stewart, Jr., Arvis Beyor, Douglas Beyor, Leslie Beyor, Michael Beyor and Ovila Trahan.
Following The Prayers of Committal a reception was held for family and friends at the Father Jean Paul Laplante Parish Hall hosted by Mrs. Raymonde Choiniere and the Saint Louis Ladies of Saint Anne.
