FUNERAL HELD: Brian James Welsh

 DATELINE: North Hero, Vermont

 

A Service of Remembrance was held Saturday, January 28, 2017, at 11 a.m. from the North Hero United Methodist Church with The Reverend Barbara Rambach, pastor of the Champlain Islands United Methodist Parish officiating. Also in attendance was The Reverend Kerry T. Cameron, pastor of the 4 Points Rising United Methodist Parish. Music was provided by organist Michael Olmstead. A large guard of honor was formed by members of the Emergency Medical Services including Grand Isle Rescue and the Grand Isle County Sheriff’s Department.

 

Readings from Scripture were proclaimed by grandchildren, Lachlan Welsh, Jack Hoehl and Patti Welsh. Special Words of Remembrance were shared by Brian’s son, Theodore Welsh and The Reverend Barbara Purinton representing the Emergency Medical Services.

 

Brian’s casket was transported to Hyde Cemetery in Grand Isle Rescue Unit 1.

 

A Service of Committal followed at the Welsh family lot in Hyde Cemetery with The Reverend Mrs. Rambach reading the committal prayers. The bearers all members of Grand Isle Rescue were, Karl Raacke, Jim Benson, Albert Benson, Darren Lawrence, Tyle Hemmingway and Bernie Tolmie.

 

Following The Prayers of Committal the 911 Dispatch offered a final alarm out of respect for Brian’s many faithful years in Emergency Medical Service.
