Swanton, VT / Burlington, MA Michelle
Marie Davis, age 37 years, a resident of 21 Covey Drive, died late Tuesday afternoon, July 20, 2010,
at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington, Mass with her husband,
children and loving family by her side. Born in St.
Albans, VT on, Dec. 9, 1972, she was the daughter of George III and Evelyn
(Loyer) Martin. She received her early education at the Highgate Elementary
School and graduated from Missisquoi Valley Union High School. On August 16,
1996, she married John A. Davis who survives her. Michelle
will be remembered as a Harley Davidson Motorcycle enthusiast. She was a
longtime active member of the Harley Owners Group and more recently became a
member of the Lady Riders. She was also very active and participated in
motorcycle runs for many and all charities. Michelle was well known
throughout the area for her love of animals and always advocated for local
humane societies. However the greatest loves in her life were her husband and
children. In addition
to her husband John of Swanton, Michelle leaves two daughters, Myriah and
Amanda Davis of Swanton and a stepson, Chris Davis of Alburgh; her parents
George III and Evelyn Martin of Highgate Falls; mother-in-law and father-in-law,
Barbara and James Thibault of Swanton; two sisters, Laurie Powloka and
husband Michael of Shaftsbury and Tina Tracy and husband Dennis of Richford;
brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, James and Rhonda Thibault of Fairfield
and Gwen Davis of St. Albans. She also leaves her lifetime best friend, Cathy
Champagne of Highgate Springs; a special cousin, Scott Austin of Swanton and
Heather Daudelin; close family friends, John Ryan and his wife, Karen,
Bernard and Patty Savage, Cathy and Larry Simmons and Joe and Michelle
Cameron as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. A Funeral
Service will be held Sat. July 24, 2010, at 11 a.m. from The Kidder Memorial
Home, 89 Grand Ave., Swanton, (802-868-3331). The Rev. Anne Torrance
Bachmann, pastor of the Swanton Memorial United Methodist Church will
officiate. A reception for family and friends will follow the service in the
church fellowship hall, located at 23 Grand Ave in Swanton Village. Friends may
call at the funeral home on Sat. morning from 9 a.m. until the hour of the
