DATELINE: Swanton, VT / Waterbury, CT Sister Joan
Sirtowt, age 65 years, died Friday, June 11 2010, in Waterbury CT following a
brief illness. Sister Joan
was associated as Director of Religious Education for The Church of the
Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Swanton, VT for 25 years and later
employed by Vermont Associates in St. Albans, VT. A Liturgy of
Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at 7 p.m. from The Church of the Nativity of the
Blessed Virgin Mary, 65 Canada St., Swanton, VT. Father Thomas D. Nadeau will
be the celebrant and homilist. In lieu of flowers gifts in Sr. Joan’s memory
may be made to the, Ursline Sisters of Tildonk, 8115 Utopia Parkway, Jamaica,
