DATELINE: Highgate Center, Vermont Edward Kenneth St. Lawrence, age 62
years, a lifelong area resident died Monday morning, June 21, 2010, at his
Lamkin St. residence with his loving family at his side. Born in St. Albans Vermont on,
February, 9, 1948, he was the son of the late John and Bessie (Davis) St.
Lawrence. He attended schools in Highgate and graduated from the former
Highgate High School. On March 1, 1974, he was married to the former Karen
Demar who survives him. Eddy was self-employed for many years
as a carpenter and in earlier years had worked for the Sheldon Pulp Mill and
the Swanton Foundry. His most recent employment involved making trophies and
engraving plaques from his home. He will be remembered as an avid hunter and
for his love of bluegrass music.. In addition to his wife Karen of 36
years, Eddy leaves his daughter, Kerri St. Lawrence and his sister, Della St.
Lawrence all of Highgate Center. Also surviving is his Godson, Steven Adams
of St. Albans; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Larry and Marshia Demar of
Sheldon, Cathy Pelkey of Swanton, Patricia and Gary Chadwick of Sheldon,
Susan Demar of Swanton, Stephen Demar of Swanton, David and Carolyn Demar of
Swanton and Robert Demar of Fairfield as well as many nieces, nephews, and
cousins. He was predeceased by a brother John
St. Lawrence. Eddy’s family offer’s their ‘Sincerest
Thanks” to Susan Dewey and Anne Grandchamp his Franklin County Home Health
Nurses, LNA Anne Marie from Fletcher Allen Health Care and Doctor Michael J.
Corrigan for all of their love, care and support. A Funeral Service will be held Friday,
June 25, 2010 at 11 a.m. from The Kidder Memorial Home, 89 Grand Ave.,
Swanton, (802-868-3331). Father Thomas D. Nadeau will officiate. The Rite of
Committal and Interment will follow at the St. Lawrence family lot in St.
Louis Roman Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on
Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Friday morning from 10 a.m. until
the hour of the funeral. Please dress casually. Gifts in Eddy’s memory may be
